Bruce Springsteen 1978
The Boss. Here Bruce Springsteen just released Darkness on the Edge of Town and hoping for the same success as the previous Born to Run. Darkness was not quite as big but definitely had some nuggets on that album. It remains one of Springsteen's most highly regarded records by both fans and critics. Again, what I love about these covers is that it’s a snapshot in time and even though he was struggling with legal battles and having an album that wasn’t charting nearly as well as the previous one, he had no idea yet how massive the 80’s were going to be for him. Also note the article on ELO who was breaking out. I love the colour tones and the strong, simple image on this one.
This cover is reimagined in acrylic, pencil, and ink with a resin finish. Size: 24” x 30” x 2”
